A Holiday from the Everyday.

Hello, again.

I'm glad you're back!

After a long break, I'm finally back in the City too and my marker's been busy. A summer spent more off the grid than on kept me out of touch, so I apologize if you've been checking in only to find that I'd kinda checked out. I promise I didn't. I just had more of a Laura Ingalls kind of summer, shall we say. More on that later ...

It's busier than ever around here this fall. My day job has me working hard and my other full time job has me tagging new school uniforms, packing lunches and filling in my huge wall calendar with the chaos that is THREE children in hockey.

I've got Holiday Cards underway and am preparing for another few weeks in the screen printing studio (think gift cards and calendars -- yay!)

I'll be uploading lots of over-the-summer scribbles over the next little while, but in the meantime, I thought I'd share the party invitations I put together for my girls' upcoming birthdays -- they're only a few days apart and every September our house turns into a cupcake factory in their honour.

I designed them to suit their very different personalities, uploaded them to my local Staples copy shop, had them printed on cardstock the same day ... and presto! Paired with matching coloured envelopes, they looked sharp and did the trick. Can you say 'sleepover for seven' tomorrow night?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too.
