10 Things About Me.
1. I'm an art director by training, an illustrator by accident and
an observer of life by necessity.
2. Once upon a time, I went to University and the Ontario
College of Art, but I never took any fine art courses.
(That's right. Not the sharpest crayon in the box.)
3. I ended up in advertising. (See #2.)
4. Name an Ad Agency. I've probably worked for them,
either in their offices with a fancy business card and
everything, or in my travels as a freelancer. (I get around.)
5. When I'm not scribbling, coming up with engaging ideas
or winning pitches, I'm juggling hockey practices,
swimming lessons, two cats, three children and their
grilled cheese sandwiches. (Made three different ways.)
6. I learned to ski later than most and haven't broken
anything, yet.
7. I like black jelly beans. A lot.
8. No kid has ever turned down my spaghetti sauce.
9. I was drawing before I was potty trained. Don't ask.
10. My favourite place to be in the world is anywhere my family
is, but especially at our cottage.
Visit my art direction and illustration portfolio pages for a sample of my work, and my sketchblog for news and a taste of life as I see it (between runs to the art store for more markers).
If you'd like to work together, kvetch about my colour choices or recommend your favourite new chocolate bar, contact me here. We'll talk.
